My Baby turned ONE!!!

Today was Chloe's First Birthday! We ordered some puppy cupcakes from Beverly's best. Mom got her a sweater (since its starting to get soo cold outside) and I got her some nutrident bones and some fun treats. I think Chloe enjoyed her special day, she got extra loves and play time. When we put the sweater on she immediately started jumping around trying to get it off, which we expected. Suprisingly that only last about a minute, then I think she really started to enjoy it and the rest of the night she was extra cuddly and cute. I tried to get a video of Chloe jumping around with her sweater on but she had calmed down by the time i got the camera.

Halloween

Ok... First of all I have to say I LOVE dressing up. For anything. I think it is soo fun to find a costume and get all ready. This year I had been trying to think of something to be for Halloween that was fun and different. I had a halloween party to go to last night, and still had no ideas, which disappointed me. Then Friday morning it just came to me... The McDonalds Hamburglar!! I figured I could just round everything up after work, and even though it was harder then I thought I had a costumes (minus the bright red tie) ready by that night. Above is a picture of me and ashlee. She was a Georgia Peach from A League of Their Own... her favorite movie. Below is a picture of me at Mc Donalds getting some hamburgers for the night... the workers had no idea who I was, how lame is that?! ohhh well... I still had fun dressing up!

dressing myself

You would think about 20ish years of dressing myself that I would be able to get the same shoes on my feet. Ashlee and I went to downtown disney to watch the angels game last night (such a sad game) and it wasn't until we were walking back to the car that I looked down and realized I had 2 different shoes on my feet. My toes look funny because I have a bright silver nailpolish on them and my toes must have been moving. oh well!

Pumpkin Carving!

Last night for FHE we carved pumpkins. I am very unpatient when it comes to this yet feel like I must carve a pumpkin every year. Dad said they kind of look like burt and ernie. lol. Ashlee's is the long tall pumpkin on the left and mine is the short squatty pumpkin on the right.

Obsessed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hpiwPXkbVc

I first saw this video in St. George with my sisters and mom. We mocked the video and Mariah Carey. I thought it was the stupidest song ever. Well... to my own disbelief I find myself singing along to it when it comes on the radio and even liking it. what the heck?! when did this happen?? I need answers!!

Costume Time!

Ashlee and I went costume shopping the other night. These were too good to pass up! We honestly probably would have gotten them if they weren't 50 bucks. haha loved it!

dancing queens!

This past Saturday afternoon, after conference I was getting ready in my room listening to music. Mimi came in to visit then started dancing, Lizzie heard the music and came in to join. They were soo funny, Mimi can really shake those hips!! My favorite part was when a song i thought was good came on I would say... OoOo This is a good song. Mimi would then go... "but this isnt a good song for me" so I would flip through until she found a song that was "good for her" I have so much playing with Lizzie and Mimi, especially as they get older.

Bike Rides

This bike is a newer version of mine but they basically look the same.

I can honestly say one of my favorite things about living in Huntington Beach has been being able to ride my beach cruiser around pretty much everywhere. For my 19th birthday 3 of my friends, Andrew, Cheyne and Kurt went in together and got me a Paul Frank "Scurvy" beach cruiser. I would pull it out and ride it around randomly but it never got the use that it does now. I will definately miss the nights of hoping on my bike (ashlee on Lisa's bike) and riding down the boardwalk getting some fresh air and just talking. I am glad I have been able to get some good use out of it.

Daddy Daughter Date!

Last night I was able to go to the Angels game with my dad. It was kind of a last minute thing so sadly I didnt have my angels gear with me. Luckly it was free hat day so I was able to sport something. My parents won tickets at a silent auction a while ago and since it was on a Tuesday my mother couldnt go which worked out nicely for me. I had so much fun, it had been awhile since me and my dad did something just the two of us and I loved the time together, it reminded me of our daddy daughter dates we had when we were younger. Thanks dad for taking me to the game!

Weekend with Ryan

I met Ryan about 4 weeks ago at my house in Huntington. He was down with some friends (one of whom which I already knew) We hit it off but since he was from arizona I didnt think too much of it. Well... he has since been back down every weekend since. I know its because he likes to get away from the Arizona heat but I know this past weekend he came down to hang out with me. We had a lot of fun! He flew into San Diego since he was going to be flying home with his dad who was flying out of san diego. It worked out nicely because there was a YSA Luau in SD that I had wanted to go too. We met up there and had a lot of fun. That night he came back to Huntington with me.
Saturday was fun and busy! We got breakfast at a little cafe by my house then walked down to the beach. We lasted about 2 or 3 hours there before it was unbearably hot. (saturday was a really really hot day) We got ready and decided to go to Disneyland since I had a pass and he hadnt been to California Adventures in awhile. I was shocked how empty it was for a Saturday, so we were able to do everything we wanted too and some things twice!

Us on the Maliboomer... there was absolutely NO line for this ride, and I think I know why. Its kinda lame.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new toy story ride at CA Adventures. I made him go on it twice with me and won both times! whoot whoot! (he said his gun was broken both times... i dont think so)

Tower of Terror. I was extremely sweaty. hot.. i know.

We stayed at California Adventures for a few hours then Ryan had gotten tickets to the Angels game. So we hurried over to the game, It was fun even though the Angels lost. By the time we were done at the game we were both SOOO exhausted. There is a sushi place by myself that we had gone to the weekend before and loved, so we got some sushi to take home, and rented a movie. It was a perfect way to end the day. Sunday morning we woke up and headed out to SD. His dad decided to leave a little later then planned so we went to Sacrament then I dropped him off. I decided to stay and hang out in SD a little longer, I met up with my friend Dewey at his ward and finished up Sunday School there, then went to his house and had family dinner with his family. By the time I got home I was SOOO tired, only to start a busy week on Monday.
Us at the Angels game, by this point in the night I was soo tired and I think it is starting to show.

I am a slacker!

OK OK.... I know i have been a bum on my blog BIG time. But I am back! So much has happened I dont even know where to start. I guess for starters, I have moved out again and am living in a house in Huntington Beach about 3 blocks from the beach. I live with 4 other great girls and love it. But I am thinking I will be back home by October. I moved out a little too early and need to save a little more. So thats that.
I started a new job at Consolidated Design West, Inc. I work as an assistant/planner for Sam Ridge. So far I absolutely love my job. There is so much that goes into it, I have spent the week getting to know our clients and started training on the billing. Sam and Joe (another sales rep) are starting a side company, JS3 Displays, and the website will be up and running in about a month. I will be in charge of blogging on that each month about whatever projects we have going on at the time. Which is what motivated me to start blogging again on my personal blog. I will make another post soon which includes the finished website! I am really excited about this job and can't wait to see how it goes!!
Here is my new e-mail address, if you need a quick response from me, this si the best way to reach me mon-fri 8-5 ;) JOlson@consolidateddesign.com

Wisdom Teeth and Eggs!

This past Friday Ashlee had to get her wisdom teeth taken out. Her parents couldnt take her since her dad had a surgery that day too, so I took her to her appointment that morning. It was funny talking to her right after surgery. We then spent the rest of the day just hanging out at the apartment. This is a picture of us by the end of the night.

Today I picked up my parents from the airport, they had been in Nauvoo area all week. By the time we got home it was 6ish, so we order applebees to go. Dinner was delicious. After dinner me and mom dyed easter eggs while dad went to the store to get some stuff for the week. Wehad melanie on speaker phone the whole time we were dying eggs so it was like she was with us!
Me! on the phone with Melanie!

Kings and Donating Blood

These are the flowers Ashlee and Eric got me tuesday night. It was sweet of them to think of something nice like that. Plus they are very pretty!! :)
Yesterday Ashlee got off work a little early and wanted to donate blood. I use to donate blood a lot but havent lately so I thought I would go with her. Ashlee had never donated before and it was funny seeing her so nervous. This picture is after ashlee finished donating she felt shakey so they immediately threw wet paper towels all over her. It was funny.
When they tried to find my veins they were too small so tried one side but just ended up poking the needle around in there. when they looked at the other arm the veins were even smaller so I got poked for nothing. this is me sad with a huge icepack that they strapped to my arm.
Ashlee at the beginning still feeling fine. :)
My friend Austin... the guy next to me there always has Kings tickets so Tuesday night me, Ashlee, him and our other friend Kui went to the game. It was soo much fun even though the Kings lost (I am not the biggest Kings fan so I didnt really care)
Ashlee and me!!! Austin had 2 girl jerseys so me and ashlee were twins for the game!!

Yesterday after we donated blood some of our friends were at Disneyland so Ashlee and I met then there. It was fun we managed to get on 3 rides plus a short train trip and it was a fun little outing.

Mustaches, 6 Flags and saying goodbye

This is me and jason messing around at their Dodgeball Tournament Saturday night.

Saturday night there was a HUGE dodgeball tournament in Huntington Beach. So Ashlee and I met everyone down there. It was soo fun, we basically just played on the sidelines, then when the tournament was over we tried to get a game of knock out started... which didnt really work so we just messed around with basketballs. After the tournament there was a mustache party in Long Beach. Jason is obsessed with mustaches (trust me i know its weird) so he was very excited. We all drew on mustaches with some eye liner and headed out. It was pretty fun but to be totally honest I think it was more fun just getting ready for it. :)
me and my dirty stache.... sick I know!

Sunday was Jasons farewell. I thought it was VERY nice. Because General COnference is this next weekend it was actually fast sunday. So Jason spoke and then everyone bore their testimonies. So both of his parents were able to bear their testimonies and some of his friends. Then that night there was a little open house at his sisters place. There was a good turn out but by the end of the night Jason was sooo tired. His family invited me to go to 6 Flags with them the next day so we both went to bed early since Monday would be a LONG day.

Monday morning I met everyone in Huntington at 9am. Jason's mom Lori decided to sit out of Magic Mountain since she doesnt really like rollercoasters and had a lot to do so she stayed home and watched Chloe. Magic Mountain was so fun and it was soo nice being able to spend all day with Jason before he got set apart. We got home that night around 7, and Jason was getting set apart at 9. We were still with his family til about 8 then we went back to his house to say goodbye. It was very tearful but sweet. I will miss him soo much but know he will be an amazing missionary. I am soo proud of his decision and am so grateful for the time we had together.
Jason's sister Lisa and me.
The whole group (minus Dan, Jasons dad) at the beginning of the day.

Since Jason has left all my friends and family have been soo grate. I went straight to my parents monday night to get a little cuddle session in with my parents and just be with them. Then the next day I heard from Joy and Shannon, Jason's mom called me, and tons of friends either have called or texted me these past 2 days. Ashlee and my friend Eric got me a dozen white roses last night. I am just so grateful for my friends and family who have been sooo supportive and just amazing to me these past 2 months. I love you all!!!

Dive, Duck, Dip, Dodge!!

from left to right: Greg Wishart, Freddy Grether, Aaron Valdes, Ryan Huff, and Ryan Anderson. Representing Placentia 4th ward.
The ball busters playing against the Punishers. Both were the teams we were rooting for in our ward.
Me and Ashlee playing on the sidelines
Jason and Danny being good sports before the game.

Monday night for FHE we had a dodgeball tournament against the Huntington Beach wards. It was soo much fun! Me and Ashlee were starting to regret our decision in just watching and not playing (until we played a game after the tournament and remembered why we hate playing dodgeball with boys) Anyway none of our friends teams won (in our ward or Huntington beach) so i guess in the end its ok. since they were all losers. Sadly the team that DID win was fron Huntington Beach. Anyway it was a very fun night! I love FHE's like that!

I'M BACK!!

This is me and Jason's last week together before he leaves for his mission, I am soo excited for him but will miss him soo much. I know the first little bit he is gone will be really hard on me. So we are spending as much time together as we can. Saturday night I had plans to help my friends DJ EL Dorado HS sadie hawkins dance. But afterwards me and Ashlee went down to Huntington to see Jason and friends. Then Sunday night was game night down there. Tonight our ward is playing against HB in a dodgeball tournament which should be pretty fun!

Chloe is still as cute as ever. Yesterday my friend Ryan Muirhead came over. He is a professional photographer and took some pictures of Chloe so hopefully some of them turned out ok... She was pretty hyper and wouldnt sit still.

This past weekend I was in SD for Bretts wedding. It was soo much fun seeing the familyand also to go to Blakes Baseball game. It was the first one I had been too and I had so much fun!

Anyway sorry I have been soo bad at updating! I should be better now!

Fun with Blake and Paige!

Last Saturday Jason and I went down to Laguna to help out Blake and Paige, they needed a couple for a shoot they were doing and we filled in. It was a lot of fun! Kinda funny since they were kinda like engagement pictures and we are clearly NOT engaged. But we had fun with it and I am excited to now have nice pictures of me and Jason together. Anyway go to Paige's blog and check out some of the ones she edited... I think they turned out great!

Chloe and High Valley

We were hanging out at the apartment and I looked over and found her asleep like this... she had been playing with my boots and I think it wore her out.
I like this picture because it gives you an idea on how small she is.

My mom helped me give Chloe her first bath.... then she shivered in her arms for the next 20 mins... poor thing. (I think she was playing it up a lot too.) After her bath she was extra fluffy and clean... super cute!

After her bath... Chloe LOVES grandma... I swear all she does whenever we are over here is sleep on her lap. I think mom is ok with it ;)

Its been awhile since I have updated my blog simply because I am no longer constantly around a computer. Last Tuesday I was laid off at High Valley. I cant say I didnt really see it coming since construction is REALLY slow right now and we werent doing that good. But I was bummed. I grew to love my co-workers and will miss being around them everyday. I called Jason when I was driving home that morning and let him know and he asked if he could come over that night. When he got to my apartment he had me turn around cuz he had a suprise for me. I had an idea that he MIGHT be getting me a puppy for Valentines day but he brought her over early to cheer me up. It worked. I named her Chloe. She's a pomeranian Chuwuawua mix and is absolutely adorable. She's 9 weeks old now and weighs 1.33 pounds (the lady at petco weighed her today) She will probably only get about 4 pounds. I would be lying if I said it was super easy all the time... I first tried house training but I think tonight jason and I are going to get a crate for her and start with crate training cuz I felt like a new mother... waking up a couple times in the night to go to the bathroom with her... then early in the morning cuz she was up and wanting to play. But I love her :)

Mission Calls and Superbowl

Friday Jason got his mission call!!  He was called to the.... wait for it.... Pocatello Idaho Mission!!  hahaha!!  He has been joking about being called there for weeks now so when he read that everyone (especially himself) just started laughing.  He reports to the MTC April 1st and is very excited!  I am excited for him.  I will miss him soo much but I am so proud of his decision to serve a mission.

Sunday we had a big Superbowl potluck party at Jason's house.  They recored the game that way we could all go to church (mom...) since singles wards start at 1. There was probably about 20-25 people there and everyone brought something so there was a bunch of food!  I had such a stomach ache by the end of the night just from eating all the random food.  blahh.  But it was such a good game and sooo much fun!!  I was sad the Cardinal's lost, they are Jason's favorite football team... and he honestly looked like he wanted to cry when the Steelers got that last touchdown in the final 50 seconds.  haha  oh well.

New Hair!

So I did it... I cut bangs.  I am still getting use to them and most the time like them.  I think I am just adjusting.  They are already growing on me more and more.  I took some pictures on my computer at work so you can have a visual.  EnjoY!

Bangs??

The guy who does my hair, Tony, is moving to Chile next month so I have one more time chance for him to color and cut it.  So far I have never had a complaint with what he has done.  I have been working on growing my hair out but I kinda want to do one more change to it before he leaves and Ashlee takes over doing my hair.  So I was thinking bangs...  I would pretty much go by this picture, I like her style bangs.  Plus this way I can still work on growing out my hair... anyway, I am kinda nervous about it.  What are your thoughts?
