Sonora High Pride!

So I dont really have anything new to say... I went to Palm Desert this past weekend and stayed at the JW Marriott, It was a lot of fun but everyone either forgot their camera or had no more batteries so sadly not a lot of pictures.  Anyway I got this off of my sisters blog... 

1. Did you date someone from your high school? not really... I few little flings here and there.  My main "high school boyfriend" had already graduated and went to a different school before that.  So my senior year was mostly spent with him and his friends  (who I am still friends with...  haha  funny how that works out)

2. What kind of car did you drive? Red '93 Ford Mustang.  I loved this car... it was pretty much a piece but still had so many funny memories in it since I was usually the driver of my friends.

3. What is your most embarrassing moment in high school? I was helping out with a boys swim invatational so there were tons of cute boys from different schools.  I was walking and not paying attention and walked into the diving board that was leaned back against the wall.  I feel on my butt and had a huge red mark on my forehead.  Most of the guys laughed and a few offered to help me up.  Worst part was when I got up my jeans were covered in water from the ground.  ugh i think i just walked straight home (actually i probably called for a ride... who am i kidding)

4. Were you a party animal? not at all.  I knew people but didnt do the whole party scene.  My senior year me and robin stopped by a couple but everyone made such a big deal that we were actually at a party that we hated doing it.

5. Were you considered a flirt? Probably. I know I am flirty by nature.  So ya...

6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Choir. I did Vocal Ensemble. I lasted two years until i realized I really hated the instructor and quit. 

7. Were you a nerd? yes in my own goofy way.  But in HS i thought I was sooo cool.  I wasnt.  haha  I think i have become more of a nerd through out the years

8. Were you on any varsity teams? yes... but usually played in JV that was a could start.  Oh waterpolo.  Maybe if i played for more then 2 years I would have actually played in Varsity games.

9. Did you get suspended/expelled? nope.  I got a detention once but Mr. Hawkins was dean of attendance so I was able to serve it one day at lunch.  I think i was there a total of 10 mins.

10. Can you still sing the fight song? nope, never could...

11. Who were your favorite teachers? ummm I like mr. rodriquez (my yearbook advisor)  he was such a dork who could debate about american idol for hours and also had a really good taste in music which was nice when we would have to stay all night to meet a deadline.

12. Where did you sit during lunch? upper commons middle block.  Thats if we stayed around for lunch  I usually left.

13. School Mascot? Zapata. It is a Mexican Raider. So we were usually called the Raiders, but the people who dressed up were called Zapatas and they wore flirty, flouncy little Mexican looking dresses and big sombreros. It was pretty lame. Also, they made the school repaint the mascot on the building so you couldn't "tell" it was carrying guns and wearing bullets. LAME. You could totally still tell.... shannon basically said it all.

14. Did you go to homecoming and with who? Junior year I went with Mike Boyd to his schools, it was pretty lame i didnt really know anyone and his friend got all mad that we went together ( i was friends with both of them)  Senior year I went with Blake Luitwieller it was a lot of fun.  but a week or two before it i started crushing on this other guy.  luckily blake was on the homecoming court so I had time to hang out with Nate. :)

15. If you could go back and do it again, would you? no i don't think so.  unless i can go back and do it know with everything i know.  I was WAY too insecure.

16. What do you remember most about graduation? umm it was hot and boring.

17. Where did you go senior skip day? I didnt go on the offical day since all the teachers had speciall assignments.  but i ditched plenty on my own.  Disneyland... Home... Out to lunch...

18. Have you gained weight since then? i think so... 

19. Who was your prom date? i actually never went to prom.  me and jay broke up right before my senior prom, we ended up getting back together but i still had made plans to go to palm desert with my mom that weekend, We hung out at the pool went out to dinner and shopped!  It was more fun then the prom.

20. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? hmmm 2014?!  who knows where i will be then

21. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself? dont be so insecure.  I think i would have enjoyed HS a lot more if i didnt stress about what people thought.
