MOVING!!!

So I am moving into an adorable 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment in Fullerton January 15th!  I am so excited... I will be sharing a room with Erissa, I probably know her the least but she works full time in LA and has a boyfriend so is never home.  In the other room will be my good friend Trisha and Ashlee.  I know Ashlee pretty well because she's my best friend Robin's cousin.  Each room has a walk-in closet and a bathroom attached.  And the rooms are dual master suites.  The Apartment complex is called The Lake and each apartment is surrounded by this beautiful lake.  Our apartment has a patio and dock.   I am also pretty excited about the fireplace :D  Its right by the freeway and has gated access.  We have an attached garage and 2 covered car ports so parking for all 4 of us shouldn't be a problem.  http://www.forrent.com/apartment-community-profile/1005570.php?CMP=OTC-SMX    Here is the link to the apartment if you wan to check it out.  Everything looks like that except the kitchens have since been redone.  

    This weekend we had the Henshaw's in town with us which was a bunch of fun.  I love playing with the girls.  I took them to the ward christmas party with me where they were a HUGE hit with their little jiggle bell scrunchie's.  I also had a FUN night of toilet papering with my soon to be 2 new room mates trisha and Ashley.... Vance is Home!

So we picked up Vance from the Ontario Airport last night.  Mom and I drove down with Bishop Green, Becky and Jordan.  Blake, Paige, Naomi, and Jenny were also there!  We had posters and tons of cameras and videos.  After we all went to Farmer Boys and got dinner.  It was pretty fun and I LOVE the awkward stage of missionaries.  It always makes me laugh!  

Christmas Party

So last night we had High Valley's Christmas Party.  Since us 3 girls in the office are in charge of planning it, it was a big deal.  We were busy yesterday running errands, setting up, partying, then unsetting.  My job after work was to pick up the cakes.  (11 GORGEOUS cakes from beverly's best) Anyway while I was carrying one cake to the car my boob smudged against the frosting of one.  So there i was, time to go set up for the party with maroon frosting on the boob of my white jacket.  nice.  But luckily we live close so i was able to call mom and dad and they brought me another shirt.  

Anyway so the party started at 6, people gathered and ate appetizers.  Around 6:45 we started eating (we had lucilles BBQ cater the event) That took awhile, people ate and chatted.  Mom and Dad were my date and I introduced them to most of the estimators and foremen that I work with.  After we passed out presents to the guys... and us :)  From my bosses I got a Christmas bonus and a new camera... which means you'll start seeing a lot more pictures up on here!  Then Amy and Amanda and I exchanged our gifts.  Everyone had cake then chatted awhile and left.  Then it was clean up for us girls...  haha  there was TONS of leftover food which we divided up among us and the office.  and pretty much a cake left for everyone.  

Today at work Amy was talking about wanting to get tickets to the Garth Brooks concert in January but its completely sold out.  She wants me and her to go.  She's been looking online, but we also get Suite tickets to concerts and shows at the Staples Center from one of our suppliers.  Shirley from Vulcan (the company with the tickets) happen to call this morning so Amy mentioned the Garth Brooks concert.  Shirley wasn't sure if there was any for that concert but she did have two tickets in the suite for the Dancing with the Stars Tour concert.  Amy told her me and amanda would be interested so Shirley put our names on the tickets!!  I am soo excited!  December 29th!   Anyway thats all my excitement for now!   Hope everyone's holiday season is going well!  

To Move to Utah or Not?!

So a while ago me and Nik talked about moving to Utah, then we both got settled in our jobs and pretty much forgot about it.  Lately it has been coming up again.... often.  Of course it wouldn't be til after Melanie's wedding and stuff.  I am just trying to decide if it will be worth it.  I doubt I would find a job up there where I would get paid as well as I do here... and I would want to do some school stuff.  But living is so much cheaper.  I would be able to get an apartment where I wouldn't have to SHARE a room!  but I dunno, right now it is ALL talk.  Today I am going to look online at different schools, jobs, and living, to see if it is even an option.  

On a lighter note, Jake is back in California for the next 4 weeks.  He basically admitted to me that he came down to date me... hmmm.  I dunno what he really expects, in four weeks he will be moving to Provo to go to BYU and he got a year lease on a house up there.  So he will be there for awhile.  I dunno..  oh well it will be fun to date him for the Holidays.  Even though I will be crazy busy all month.  

Might as Well....

So I thought I might as well get a blog to keep in touch with my sisters and whoever else might have one of these things...  Right now i don't really have any funny or interesting stories to share, but I was bored at work and thought what the heck!

This week is already crazy busy with Christmas things... Today I have spent most of the morning running errands for our company Christmas party which is Dec. 5th.  Friday we are having out board Young Women Christmas dinner, the Saturday I am Nikki's date for her company Christmas Party.  Thursday mom, dad and I are going to get a Christmas tree then decorate it!  I enjoy being the only one home sometimes ;)  

Jake (the guy who I tried going to Disneyland with, but got sick) is suppose to be moving down here sometime this week.  At first mom was a little nervous cuz she said when a guy moves down here its like the Kiss of Death.  BUT then I found out that he will be going BACK to utah in january for BYU.  So.... things might work out!  :)  Anyway its lunch time here but I am excited to be an official blogger!
