Camping!!

This isnt from camping but from the week before... I just love my guy friends.  So heres a cute one with cheyne and kurt.

I absolutely LOVE beach camping so I was soo excited when my friend Andrew booked a spot and it was on a day when I was able to go!  So Saturday morning I woke up (I was even to sleep in!!) and got ready then headed over to my parents... Joy and the girls were there visiting and then Kathy and Julianne came over and we had a little birthday party.  My mom made these chicken croissant (sp?!) sandwiches that I love and I had funfetti cake!  It was a very nice afternoon!  Then I went home packed a little bag and me and ashlee headed over to my friend Cheyne's house.  From there the 3 of us carpooled to Carlsbad.  When we got there it was freezing.  Too cold to hang out at the beach so while cheyne surfed before it got dark me and ashlee andrew and danielle walked around and set up the camp.  Cheyne got back and got going on dinner for me ashlee and him.  He was put together really good shrimp and chick and steak ka-bobs.  Also made this delicious salad.  We all helped with dinner.  By the time dinner was ready Kurt showed up.  I have so much fun with Kurt so I immediately got really hyper.  When dinner ended me and ashlee were dancing around to some music when suddenly cheyne and kurt came out with some cupcakes with candles on them for my birthday, everyone sang then we all sorta got into a frosting fight.  Then me and kurt wanted to do something so I jumped on kurts bike and he grabbed a longboard and we went for a ride.  When we got back ashlee and cheyne were MIA (they had gone for a walk) and Andrew and Danielle were ready for bed (it was WAYY too early for bed) so me and kurt played on longboards (i am getting SOO much better)  then left the camp to adventure out we visited downtown Carlsbad which was lame.  By the time we got back to camp ashlee and cheyne were back and we all went to In N OUt.  I know... we are such lame campers.  Anyway in the morning it was still too cold to do the beach thing so me and ashlee practiced our softball skills by playing catch while cheyne surfed then we basically packed up and went home...

My friend Cheyne called me a couple days ago and said he had two openings for his co-ed softball team.  Me and Ashlee thought it would be sooo much fun, who cares if we didnt know how to play!  So we joined the team!  Our games start in 2 weeks.  They will be either Monday or Friday nights.  I am soo excited.  I think it will just be fun to play a game of softball once a week and be on a team.  Ashlee's brother played baseball for UCLA so Sunday he is going to give us lessons, we are just hoping we are not the worst on the team.  I will keep you posted!

Priceline!!

I have had the BEST luck with Priceline!  Ok... So maybe I have only tried it twice.  But still.  I wanted to go to Palm Springs the weekend after my birthday (its on a monday).  I really wanted to stay at the JW Marriott in Palm Desert but when I looked up rooms they were WAYY too expensive, even after spliting it 3 ways (between me trisha and ashlee) So I thought I would just gamble with Priceline for a nice hotel for cheap and hope for the best.  So I put in palm springs/palm desert, 4 star hotels and 100 since they said the median price was 170.  I was hoping it would go through.  Sure enough it went through AND we got a room at the JW marriott!!!  What are the odds!!  I was sooo excited!  So we will be staying 2 nights there each night only 100 bucks... after you split that 3 ways its super cheap!  Last time I used Priceline I not only had good luck getting a room, but once we got there we were upgraded.... I am not holding my breath for that BUT who knows!!  yayy!

Getting ready with my roommates is one of my favorite things to do.  It reminds me of getting ready with my sisters.  The other day me and Ashlee both had dates so we both took 2 hours prepping.  Both of our dates were a lot of fun, but the getting ready is also soo fun.  Sometimes its just fun prepping!

This past weekend was a lot of fun. Friday night a big group of us went to a karaoke place.  It was something different for us, we had a blast!  We want to do it like once a month,  and get a huge group.... like whoever wants to come.  Me, Ashlee and Errissa were the only ones who got up and sang though! oh well maybe next we will have more people in our group go up!

Saturday morning I got up early (then got a phone call basically saying i could have slept in an hour and a half, oh well...) and went to my parents house for a tea party with lizzie, mimi, my mom and joy.  We had lemonade and fruit punch instead of tea so there was no confusion with Lizzie.  We also had yummy sandwhiches, cookies, veggies, grapes, candies, and cheese and crackers.  It was very fun.

Saturday afternoon/evening was the Olson family beach party.  I love this beach party so much every year.  This year the Oversons were here and the Henshaws so we had plenty of younger kids which makes it even more fun.  Especially the scavenger hunt.  Aunt leeDean put together a really cute scavenger hunt for the kids, the boys were pirates and the girls were princesses.  The adults had a good time visiting with each other!

Babysitting

Last night i helped my dad babysit since mom is still in Utah.  I was having so much fun Chalking and playing outside with the girls...  Mimi was my little buddy all night, constantly cuddling up to me and following me around.  So fun.. here are some pictures from my favorite Mimi moments...

Utah Trip!

This past weekend I went up to utah with my dad and met up with the Bowles, Curnow's and my mom.  We had so much fun!  Friday we went Mini Golfing... Weston won by getting 2 everytime... I lost but only by one! (I think I would have done a lot better if i wasn't sweating my body weight)  Then we all had dinner together and swam at the hotel.

Saturday morning we all woke up early and met at the train station... which we took to Salt lake to see the new Joseph Smith movie and get lunch.  While everyone saw the movie me and mom took weston and davin which was good times since Weston is seriously a funny little kid.  My favorite moment was when he asked to tickle angel moroni's toes...  I would love to be in his head....  Then we went back and while the seniors and juniors (mom, dad and the boys)  napped us youthful ones went and played rockband at Ians work which was soo much fun!  I love Rockband... I think they last song of the afternoon... when me, mel and shannon all sang/screamed together was my favorite...  Then we spent the rest of the night playing games, watching Kearns fireworks, and watching Flight of the Concords.... seriously funny stuff.

Sunday We went to church with Shannon and Ian... and every senior citizen in Kearns.  Then the Millers came over for dinner.  It was sooo fun seeing them and the boys!  Then we headed back to the hotel pretty early... I finally had a bed so I didnt mind...

Monday we went to these pools!  It was soo much fun!  Me and Shannon tried swimming laps but really its been forever for me and I was sucking.... Otherwise one of the highlights from the pools was mom going down the waterslide...  Screaming the WHOLE way down!   Here are some pictures to highlight the trip!
